Web Design for Composer and Conductor Stefan Sand
Stefan Sand is a Danish conductor, composer and pianist living in Iceland. Stefan already has extensive experience as a choir conductor and has published several compositions. He is also a creator of the "Look at the Music" project – a world-first experiment, where sign-language is taken as the basis for composition.
When creating websites for musicians with versatile careers, we want to structure the site in a way that makes it easy for the visitor to discover different sides of the artist. Every aspect of Stefan's music career has its own page on his website to make it easy for visitors to find exactly what they are looking for.
Home page
The home page (front page of the website) is an introduction to the artist and his music. It gives the visitor the possibility to quickly find the most important information. We introduce Stefan to the visitor with his own quote about his music. This is followed by a short list of upcoming events and a video of Stefan's performance.
The Hero Image, the first image visitors see when they land on your website, is one of the most important parts of your digital property. It's what every visitor sees. That's why we have added text and a link to the special "Look at the Music" project Stefan is creating.
Compositions and repertoire with a search bar
We have created dedicated pages for Stefan's compositions and conducting repertoire, and added a search bar so visitors can quickly find what they are looking for by entering the composition name, orchestration, etc.
Special project page
An important part of Stefan's career is his "Look at the Music" project. That's why we created a dedicated page that contains all the information about the project, the video recordings and the team members. Each team member also has his own profile on Stefan's website.

One of the biggest advantages of having your own website is that your website will show up at the top of search results when someone Googles your name, and you have full control over what people see when they search for your name.
Stefan's website was at the top of Google searches just days after it was published.
