“Bob is a world-class saxophonist. For him, the line separating Life and Music is very thin. That’s a beautiful but very rare quality. That is why you feel it deeply every time he talks or plays” – Victor Wooten (5 time Grammy Winner, Author, Educator)

Visit Website

To create the perfect musician website, I try to connect with the artist on a personal level. I need to understand musician's personality, preferences, and vision—details that will shape the design and functionality of their website. This personal touch is what sets my web design agency for musicians apart from DIY website builder solutions.

Meeting Bob was a true pleasure. Not only is he an accomplished saxophonist, but he’s also a naturalist, educator, radio host, and so much more. His diverse interests and kind personality were inspiring and gave me the perfect foundation for creating a musician website that reflects his career.

The task - to reimagine, redesign and reorganize an old website.

Bob already had a website that needed a refresh. The design was outdated, and the content hadn’t been updated in a while. Our goal was clear: turn an old site into something modern, beautiful, easy for visitors to navigate and quick for Bob to manage.

Our Process

After an initial Zoom meeting where we discussed Bob’s needs and vision, he started gathering his content—texts, images, quotes, and more. While he worked on that, we got started on the design. Using our custom theme, we designed a functional layout that was ready to be filled with content as soon as it arrived.

By the time Bob sent over his materials, the design was complete. After a few rounds of feedback and tweaks, we finalized everything, published the website on his existing domain, and created an admin account for him. Now, he can easily manage updates and share his exciting career with visitors.

Content Organization

Organizing content for a website like Bob’s—where one person wears so many hats—can be challenging. The key is to make everything accessible within one or two clicks.

  • Main Menu: We kept the main navigation simple with the most important sections always visible.
  • About Section: To highlight Bob’s many roles, we created a dedicated page for each occupation and grouped them under an “About” dropdown menu.
  • Testimonials Page: Bob’s wealth of quotes gave us the chance to design a stunning testimonials page. This adds context to his career and builds social proof.
  • CD Listing: We added a discography page with links to streaming services, making it effortless for visitors to explore Bob’s music.
  • Gig Calendar: The gig calendar is a standout feature, dynamically updating and archiving past events. This ensures the page stays relevant without requiring constant manual updates.
  • Social Media Integration: Links to Bob’s social media accounts were included on every page, encouraging visitors to follow his journey.

Results

The finished website is a beautiful reflection of Bob’s vibrant career. It’s easy to navigate, visually engaging, and incredibly functional. The automated gig calendar, social proof from testimonials, and accessible music links make it a powerful tool for promoting his artistry.

This website is not just an online presence—it’s a hub for sharing artist's work with fans, collaborators, and organizers.
