Visit Website

This website is already the second website I have designed for this festival. The first version was my first professional job as a website developer years ago.

In 2022, me and my team developed a special content management system for musicians, and so we redesigned the jazz festival's website on our customized platform - as a gift for their 26th edition.

The result? A stunning website for a jazz fest that perfectly balances layout, design elements, functionality and usability while meeting the diverse needs of visitors, musicians and organizers.

The challenge: A comprehensive redesign for a jazz festival website

The festival’s original website needed a fresh start. It was beautiful but the main problem was the compatibility of website's theme and plugins with the new system updates of WordPress.

The WordPress system is updated frequently, and you never know if the website will survive or break, as the theme and all plugins (which ensure the functionality of the website) also need to be updated to match the new system requirements.

The challenge was to transfer this music website's design and layout to our new platform, showcase festival’s 25-year legacy, highlights world-class jazz artists and makes it easy for potential concert attendees to find information about the events, buy tickets and explore the festival’s history.

We also needed to organize an extensive archive of jazz music content, including photos, videos and profiles of jazz legends who have performed at the music festival.

Our approach: combining design, functionality and scalability

Design

The festival’s logo served as the basis for the color palette, typography and overall esthetic. This coherent visual identity reflects the vibrancy and professionalism of the festival.

Using content from 25 years of jazz music making, we created a visually engaging website that captures the soulful melodies and energy of the festival. High quality photos and videos bring the website to life and make it a true celebration of live jazz.
